* Newly created role due to growth of this not for profit organisation* Great team culture and organisational social purpose* Hybrid working with 3 days per week in Leeds City CentreAbout the client:A member owned financial services business are embarking on a journey to better understand and utilise data assets available to them, and use this to develop actionable insights that will allow them to make more informed lending decisions. This had led to anopportunity for someone who wants to use their analytical mind alongside their love for data and statistical background within a not for profit organisation and be working closely with the credit risk team.You will join a small team, so you will be involved with and responsible for monitoring, understanding and improving LCUs exposure to Credit Risk, AML Risk, Fraud Risk, Affordability Risk, Churn Risk, & Collection Risk. You will be working closely with theHead of Credit Risk and the Loans and Collections Manager, helping to solve complex business problems using data analysis software and providing practical value-based solutions whilst forming part of the Credit Risk team. * Providing recommendation on credit policy, monitoring performance, clearly communicating issues, developing, and recommending changes where appropriate* Undertake credit risk analysis by developing statistical models, using tool such as SAS* Assessing, analysing and interpreting complicated financial information* Design, build and run weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring reports that allow the credit risk team to manage credit risk exposures* Design, build and run weekly, monthly and quarterly MI dashboard reports for the Senior Management Team and Board* Monitor the effectiveness of existing scorecards and strategies* Develop relationships with the companies that supply our application processing and collection platforms* Help implement and test new statistical models and strategies* Develop and implement appropriate value-based risk policies, strategies, models, and controls* Continually monitor market trends, and keep up to date with credit products and developmentsThe Successful Applicant: * Degree level in a numerate subject such as Finance, Economics, Maths, Statistics Operational Research, Physics, or Engineering.* Ideally 2:2 or above, and/or equivalent qualifications/experience* 1 year in a credit risk analyst or related position* Proficient in SAS, other coding languages such as R, Python will also be considered* Experience of using SQL* Detailed knowledge of Bureau Data - specifically TransUnion and Experian* Experience in Scorecard and/or model development* Experience in process improvement* Working knowledge of core Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)* Experience working with Application Processing Platforms, such as Powercurve, FICO, ProvenirWhats on offer:* Holidays of 25 days* Flexible working and hybrid working with 3 days per week to be office based and the rest its up to you* Long service awards* Salary - up to £35,000 (based on experience)
