The Company Overview: Butler rose are exclusively partnered with one of the largest, global, and full-service law firm based in Leeds City Centre. As a Credit Controller, you will be managing the Firms overalldebt position in line with the International Credit policy and proactively reduce aged debt, whilst continuing a positive relationship with clients. Moreover, you will need to provide accurate and timely reports highlighting key debt issues and driving queriesto conclusion.My client now has an immediate requirement for a Credit Controller and as a result, you will need to be either immediately available or available at short notice. This is a 12-month FTC with a hybrid work model available.Your new role as Credit Controller:Your duties will include:Collection of debt in line with International Credit Policy to ensure both UK and department cash collection targets are achieved by liaising with Partners and external clientsEnsure accurate and concise collection notes are maintained within the Firms collection system to reflect the current debt position for internal reporting purposesIdentify client disputes and ensure prompt resolution by working with both internal and external clients whilst ensuring escalation procedures are always adhered toAlways provide a high standard of customer serviceLiaise and assist Partners in all aspects of credit control to ensure Firm and personal KPIs are achieved by way of telephone and face to face meetings when required including travel (when permitted) to other UK officesProvide detailed ledger analysis against objectives and targets to the Credit Control Team Leader when requiredSupport the Firms personal development initiatives and any departmental projectsProvide timely and accurate reports to the businessAssist Management with Ad Hoc tasks and/or team projects as and when requestedMonitor the Group Inbox and work within agreed SLAsThe Experience & Qualifications Required: The successful Candidate shall be/have:A substantial background in credit control working in a target focused environment showing an ability to proactively achieve resultExperience in a legal or professional service environment would be preferable but not essentialA proven track record of negotiating and influencing situations to a positive outcome whilst developing and maintaining relationshipsAn understanding of the impact of aged debt on a businessAbility to work towards deadlines and achieve objectives whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detailSAP experience would be an advantageA versatile and flexible approach which is essential at key financial points of the yearIT literate - Vlookups and pivot tablesExperience of system implementation would be an advantageAbility to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment as well as prioritise and manage own workload effectively to achieve objectivesLanguage skills preferableYour Reward & The Package On Offer:As a Credit Controller you shall receive:A salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experiencePension28 holidays + STATHoliday buy back schemeCycle to work schemeLife assuranceDiscounts and perksPlease note that applicants will be screened for Criminal and Credit records checks after interviews and the results will affect whether you are offered a position.Interested Apply or get in touch on (M): or (T): to speak to Sonia Sidje to discuss the role further!Who Are Butler RoseButler Rose specialises in the recruitment of accountancy and finance professionals, from transactional and part-qualified appointments through to Group FDs.With offices in Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Birmingham, Exeter, London, Milton Keynes and Southampton, we work with a range of businesses across the UK from SMEs and local accountancy firms to large Plcs and the Big 4, as well as many public sector and not-for-profitorganisations.
