Job Description

Job Title: Creative Artworker Location: Leeds or Manchester (if Manchester based, will need to visit Leeds once a week)Company Benefits: Competitive Salary, 25 days Holiday + Bank Holidays + day off on your Birthday!An exciting opportunity for a Creative Artworker has arisen to work for a global design and implementation agency, with a head office located in the north of England.Responsibilities of the Role –Creative ArtworkerYou will be responsible for creating accurate and technically sound file builds to ensure that all design files are fit for purpose and the design intent / client’s needs are realised. Working closely with the core team is a must to ensure high creative standards are met and excellent quality is achieved.

  • Ensure approved design and communication principles are understood and maintained throughout
  • Ensure design adaptation / ranges are reviewed and are accurate to agreed standards
  • Highlight and help resolve any issues ensuring they do not become problems
  • Using in-depth technical knowledge, contribute and help lead PPMs, ensuring all variables are addressed thoroughly and methodically
  • Be a strong brand guardian, ensuring consistency and quality is maintained
  • Responsible for quality assurance
  • Work with all departments, to ensure accuracy of input, schedules, necessary reviews and client presentations are achieved and maintained to required standard
  • Attend and contribute to the team through monthly meetings and team catch up forums
  • Build collaborative working relationships with other departments and cross functional teams within the business to ensure smooth transition from Design to Production
  • Provide regular project detail / updates ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed
  • Creative retouching and enhancing visual images
    • The successful Creative Artworker, will have:
  • Highly proficient Artworker with skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating packaging and retouching capabilities
  • Ability to present across all media channels to a high standard, especially Packaging
  • Excellent visual image enhancement and creative retouching skills
  • Experience of Packaging is essential
  • Branding and POS design experience would be an advantage
  • Experience managing assets and large projects
  • Ability to adapt across the different media / work types, demonstrating a high level of knowledge
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail
  • High levels of organisation
  • Prioritisation of high volumes of work
  • Comprehensive guideline / toolkit / knowledge bank creation
  • Able to follow process and procedure to a high level
  • Colour management and proofing
  • Previous experience of working closely with Client Services within an agency environment
  • An understanding of database systems and technology innovations, a genuine interest in this area would be a distinct advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of print processes and colour management
  • A good understanding of brand and corporate guidelines and how to follow them
  • IT Literate
