Job Description

Secondary Cover SupervisorCover Supervisor - West Leeds - Immediate StartI am currently working with a secondary school in the West Leeds area who are needing a cover supervisor to work on a daily/weekly basis starting immediately. The school in question is easily accessible by car and public transport for anyone in the LS6/LS7/LS28/LS12/LS13areas. The secondary school is a supportive mainstream setting where behaviour is more often than not manageable, with a strong and stable leadership team that leads from the front and helps maintain standards of learning across the board.Requirements

  • Confident and forward-thinking individuals
  • Be able to deliver pre-planned work up to 30 pupils at a time
  • A desire to make a difference to young peoples lives
  • The ability to manage behaviour effectively and follow instructions
  • Experience working with secondary aged pupils - 11 - 16 years
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (can be applied for)
What does a cover supervisor do
  • Supervises pupils in a wide range of subjects and settings
  • Reports any behavioural or safeguarding issues immediately
  • Keeps classrooms safe and tidy
  • Makes sure pupils are learning at all times during the lesson.
  • Delivers pre-planned work across a range of subjects
