About the role:The role provides the opportunity to join a Yorkshire based in-house tax team of more than 10 professionals. It is a supportive environment, which will provide you with the chance to increase your corporate tax skills and learn about other areas such as SDLT and employment taxes.Being part of the tax team for a large internationally owned retailor, gives exposure to a wide range of technical areas including international, property and employment matters. Working in a fast paced retail environment, you will gain experience in providing tax advice on a variety of matters, with guidance and support from Senior Managers in the team.The Tax team sits within the finance function but has a broad responsibility which stretches beyond finance into the wider business. Alongside ownership of the annual tax reporting process, the team provides a link to the wider retail environment helping to build an understanding of the changing tax legislation in order to inform decision making across the business.The successful candidate will play a key role in the team, including monthly and quarterly reporting under US GAAP, preparation of corporate tax computations and tax disclosures for the financial statements, and other ad-hoc project work.Key Responsibilities
