Job Description

THE COMPANY:The Charity Partners division of Brewster Partners are delighted to be working with an accountancy service that supports organisations with their finances and offers a tailored service, advice and training.THE JOB:As a community Accountant you will be responsible for providing Community Interest Companies with financial services, advice and support.Duties will include:

  • Produce annual accounts for Community Interest Companies
  • Communicate with organisations on a daily basis providing support, guidance and making recommendations.
  • Prepare corporation tax computations for CICs.
  • Keep updated with accounting and taxation issues relevant to the sector.
  • Contributing to the team in meetings
  • Managing your own caseload and managing time effectively.
THE PERSON:
  • You will possess 5 years accounting experience and/ or 2 years plus an accounting qualification.
  • Competent with accountancy software
  • Experience with preparing small company accounts.
  • Knowledge of corporation tax issues for CICs
  • An excellent communicator
  • An understanding of financial management for small organisations and the third sector
  • Understanding of governance issues in the third sector
  • A team player
