Job Description

A leading blue-chip employer based in Leeds is working exclusively with Gifford and Partners (GAP) to help them appoint a Commercial Accountant initially on a 9-12 month contract but with a very likely view of becoming permanent thereafter. As well as supporting the analysis and modelling, this role will aid true value to the wider business. Key responsibilities will include and not be limited to;

  • Building new models and tools that can aid future bids and tenders alongside operations
  • Maintaining and developing rate cards including recalculating rates
  • Supporting the companys strategy nationwide, develop assumptions and commercial action plans including how best to inform and partner the business to deliver key objectives
  • Monthly forecasting and various analysis
  • Production of KPI, performance and profitability reporting
  • Deputise on behalf of the Commercial Finance Manager when required
    • Essentially this role is targeting a qualified CIMA/ACCA with commercial accounting experience ideally gained within a similar industry role. This role requires a commercial business partner capable of delivering financial information in a clear and concise way that operational stakeholders can digest it. A strong financial modeller with excellent communication skills and a hunger for conceptualising commercial data into real-life commercial decision making. A role that is 50/50 split between analysis/interpretation and the tools that can fast track getting from A to B, coupled with adding true value and partnering with non-financial audiences including divisional FD/MDs and department heads.A company that he has seen 19 of the past 20 years delivering double-digit growth, with a doubling of turnover every 4 years!
