Job Description

An exclusive partnership between Gifford and Partners and a leading international business brings to the market this Commercial Controller position. A role that plays out almost the role of a mini Finance Director, partnering with divisional heads and MDs, challenging the numbers whilst providing strategic direction and forecasting. Key to this role is the ability to provide commercial acumen in driving the numbers whilst managing a team that can bring financial control and corporate governance in a 70/30 split Commercial/Controllership. Other responsibilities and key attributes to this role include and are not limited to:

  • Managing a high performing team of part and fully qualified accountants.
  • Being a true business partner to divisional heads
  • Bid, tender and contract negotiation on key strategic projects
  • Helping to upskill the cost centres in delivering better and more astute financial management
  • Understand and challenge monthly trading performance to maximise revenue return
  • Providing clear and accurate financial reporting
  • Be a key representation of the Senior Leadership Team
    • Essentially this role is requiring a qualified accountant ACA/ACMA/ACCA with post qualified experience. Evidence of working in a business partnering capacity with senior stakeholder exposure combined with a Commercial and controllership split. Because of this role managing a high performing team, it is essential that they come to the table with previous management experience and a given at this level that they can articulate and deliver commercial concepts.A truly exciting and engaging role in a fast-paced and dynamic business that has demonstrated year after year growth and sustainability.
