This is a great opportunity to join a highly skilled and competent commercial team, who has the responsibility of delivering £100m contract spend across 20 partnered suppliers. The Commercial Contract Manager is a FTC to Permanent role as this is to supportthe Commercial Leader who has organically grown in the business to this next level. The Commercial Contract Manager post will work with the business leaders on the Capital delivery of their ambitious investment plan that will drive improvements across the 3rd party services.The specific focus of this role is to lead on supply chain management of the partnerships, including the ongoing management of the contract, supplier performance management and value management reporting. This will include regular performance reviews, implementingcontinual improvement initiatives, negotiating variation as required, contract extensions, inflation uplifts, regular audits on schemes, reviewing performance reports and drafting internal reports.The role will involve commercial and contract management of various Hallam Alliance schemes as Client representative. This will involve negotiating a variety of contract terms including; contract data for new schemes, negotiation of third-party agreements suchas bonds and warranties and negotiation of sub-contract terms. The role will also involve providing commercial and cost advise to the Scheme Alliance Board representative and Client Project Managers.Commercial Contract Manager is effectively the Commercial Project Manager to take a lead role in supporting the strategy deliverables for the Commercial Team;* Contract Strategy* Coordinating work across the local commercial teams* Developing and implementing process improvements* Support escalation of commercial issues/disputes* Support training and development of the commercial team and wider programme delivery team* Provide Support and guidance across the following aspects: Cost Planning and Benchmarking, Procurement Process, Contract Drafting, Contract Review, Contract Administration and Assurance, Contract Change Management / Entitlement, Framework Disagreements, Defectsand Exits, Commercial Advise.Key Accountabilities* Leading the working group in developing the commercial approach to deliver the next Asset Management Plan * Coordinating resources and consistent application of process across the core commercial assurance work streams* Develop commercial improvement projects. Leading a team of consultants and internal staff to deliver process, system and user-oriented improvements* Continuous improvement - Identify, manage and implement to the current systems, processes and agreed ways of working* Developing the commercial assurance team structure and progression/succession planning* Provide tender and procurement activities on behalf of local commercial teams for designated projects* Provide peer review and contract and/or commercial advice on application of the framework agreements and conditions of contract* Advise on acceptability of approach from local commercial teams to risk under the conditions of contract* Support the delivery of contract and commercial training to the Project Management teamsKnowledge and Skills Required* 8+ years of project management and/or commercial management experience including the Water / Utilities sector* Ideally Hold a professional qualification such as RICS, CICES, CIOB or APM.* NEC3 / NEC4 contract management*Demonstrable knowledge of common commercial approaches utilised by Utility/Infrastructure Industry clients*Experience of implementing change initiatives*Excellent communication skills*Excellent stakeholder management*Knowledge of construction law*Experience of conflict or dispute resolution in construction*Experience of delivering training to internal colleagues*Ability to manage senior stakeholders*Knowledge of cost modelling and cost planningPacakge: £55,000 up to £62,000 * dependable on experienceCar Allowance 12M FTC to Perm role PensionHolidayHYBRID ROLE Leeds City Centre Based If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Carl Walker at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of business across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
