Experienced multi-drop delivery driver holding a CPC and clean driving licence, Class 2 driver (18 te LGV). You will have good understanding of driving hours and loading regulations. You will have a professional approach, excellent communication skills,be numerate with good attention to detail.We are looking for energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to prioritise. You will operate as a multidrop driver to drive their 3.5 tonne van but will need a Class 2 Licence to cover holidays for their otherdrivers. Long term they plan to buy another HGV and you would then take on that truck.THE COMPANYOur client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing servicing the fabrication and signage marketplace. As part of its expansion the company is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for their distribution centre in Darwen; if successfully recruited you will experience a first-rate working environment, free on-site parking and numerous otherbenefits.THE ROLEMultidrop (around 10 to 15 drops per day)Covering West, East and South YorkshireKey responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:·Provide an "on time and in good condition" delivery service.·Ensure that the vehicle is loaded correctly and safely and that loads are secured without causing any damage.·Be a good representative of the company when delivering goods presenting a courteous and pleasant manner at all times.·Report any faults or accidents to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and complete the necessary documentation in a timely manner.·Assist with the picking of goods in preparation for loading.·Assist with the correct unloading, checking and storage of stock.·Report all stock discrepancies, damages and/or stock picking errors to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.·Attend regular Branch Staff meetings.·Carry out all daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks.·Correctly operate the Tachograph system.·Perform regular cleaning of vehicles ensuring that vehicles are well presented.·Carry out other duties as requested by the Warehouse and Distribution Manager.·Observe all aspects of Health and Safety within the sales and warehouse environmentTHE CANDIDATE:Although, the company require a Class 2 Driver, the role will involve driving their 3.5 tonne van. You will be expected to cover holidays for other drivers and in the longer term they will be buying another HGV and you would be responsible for that truck.The successful candidate will be an experienced Class 2 multi-drop delivery driver holding a CPC and clean driving licence, .You will have good understanding of driving hours and loading regulations.You will have a professional approach, excellent communicationskills, be numerate with good attention to detail. We are looking for energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to prioritise. You will have a clean licence and have at least 12 months HGV experience.This is an excellent organisation to work for.
