Job Description

Job AdvertAre you an energy procurementspecialistAre you passionate about Climate Change Are you looking for the opportunity to make a tangible differenceYou will take a leading role in managing Asdas energy cost exposure and driving part of Asdas ESG commitment, specifically Asdas aim to be a net-zero carbon business by 2040a journey that includes reducing Green House Gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2)by 50%.Your Role

  • Monitor market developments and execute the energy risk management policy.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and other providers so that Asda is perceived as a high-quality partner
  • Manage RFQprocesses for suppliers, PPAs and other service providers
  • Manage energy contract performance from providers such as suppliers, PPA Developers and consultancy partners
  • Review aggregate consumption patterns and forecasts (in conjunction with Property and third-party service providers) to ensure contractualconditionssatisfy business requirements
  • Input into the selection and onboarding of new specialist service providers
  • Develop supply chains for opportunities to reduce Asdas environmental impact
  • Manage project delivery, undertake analysis required and present outcomes.
About You
  • The role requires extensive utility experience and sector knowledge including an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the different operational parties
  • The role requires the ability to think creatively and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects.
