We are on the look out for Business Development Managers who have a demonstrated history of working in the Ocean Freight & Global Forwarding markets globally specialising in Ocean & Air Freight.This is an exciting opportunity for a sales driven candidate to join a very well established business in a major growth period within the Export Ocean & Air freight markets globally.The key role of this position is to find and develop new business exporting globally within the Ocean & Airfreight markets.Main responsibilities include:* Have a proven track record of achieving and excelling sales targets within Global Forwarding, Ocean Freight & Air Freight.* Maintain contact with existing customers and provide account management & high levels of customer service.* Proven experience of working with clients from various spectrums (10 TEU p/a-15,000 TEU p/a) to (2MT - 200MT Airfreights) and everything in between.* Be consultative within your approach to winning new business by presenting and selling services specialist to the Global Forwarding markets* Identify new business opportunities within the territory (North of England, based out of Leeds)* Visiting prospective customers.The following personal attributes would be advantageous:* Experience of a similar role within Global Forwarding / Air & Sea Export / Deep & Shortsea (especially US markets)* Highly motivated* Flexible with a can-do attitude* Enthusiasm drive and the desire to achieve goals & targets, personally and for the team* The desire and ability to be a strong team player* Excellent communication skills* Have a Full UK driving licenceIn return my client is delighted to offer:* A competitive Salary - £35,000 - £45,000* Contributory pension scheme* Bonus scheme (measured from MTs & TEUs moved instead of GP)* Opportunity to work for one of the biggest global forwarding businesses in the world
