Job Description

We are delighted to be supporting this organisation which has recently been awarded as outstanding by Ofsted.Location: Home-based with travel to East Midlands as and when requiredWe are now looking for a Bid Writer to join this highly reputable company that operates as a Training Provider and a Social Enterprise that offer excellent benefits which include: Remote based permanent position offering a highly competitive salary range between £31000-£36000 25 days, rising to 30 days + bank holidays + flexible working hours between Monday-Friday Health Insurance, Pension scheme,This Training Provider is doing exceptionally well, securing over 40 million pounds worth of contracts in the last year. They offer a wide range of training services which include Apprenticeships, Careers Advice and Employability Support Programmes.The appointed person will be working directly alongside the Business Development Team and will be supporting all tendering and procurement activity within the Business Development function.Typical duties and responsibilities of the Bid Writer/Business Development Specialist Work creatively with the Head of Business Development & Partnerships to seek out new opportunities that lead to new bidding opportunities with external partners To support an end-to-end tender process for contract opportunities including programmes funded by ESF, AEB, Apprenticeships and others. Build, manage, and develop relationships with all funding partners and directly with the relevant commissioning bodies. Working alongside the Senior Management team to support contract implementation following successful bids. Co-ordinate the production of bid submissions ensuring the timely planning, management, completion and review of bids To monitor all public procurement portals and produce weekly reports on the opportunities available to the business. Prepare regular reports regarding bidding progress, opportunities arising and risks identified. Contribute to the ongoing research and analysis of funding opportunities market and competitor analysis To build relationships to enhance partnership working opportunities. Develop a strong and comprehensive tender library Attending networking events and other meetings organised within the delivery regions to gain a better understanding of needs in a local area.Skills and Experience required for the Bid Writer/Business Development Specialist Previous experience working as a Bid Writer/Researcher Experience in Work-Based Learning, Skills, or Education would be highly desirable Have great bid writing skills and ability to research accurate information Knowledge of funding streams and funding methodology would be desirable Strong track record in building relationships and managing stakeholders Demonstrate a proven track record in project management Ideally, be educated to degree standard.For more information please contact Simon Atkins at Pertemps Newcastle on
