We are currently working with a Specialist Setting that caters for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.The provision requires individuals who are compassionate, caring and confident to work with extremely challenging behaviour. You must be nurturing and able to engage students who have otherwise become detached and have lost their drive to learn.The School supports children that are Secondary aged and have been excluded from mainstream school - some students are full time whilst others are part time. The class sizes are small, often holding between 7 and 10 students, you will do a variety of classroom support, small group work and 1:1 support.The type of aspirants we are ideally looking for include:Youth Workers Support Workers Prison workers Experience gained in mental health units Experience gained in inclusion units of schools Experience gained in Pupil Referral Units Team Teach trained Ex-military Sports coaches The desired skillset: Strong Behaviour Management Skills Nurturing and positive yet firm approach Knowledge of the current curriculum We require candidates who can help to support pupils in these provisions on a full time basis, specifically helping to reduce anxiety, support the class teacher with disruptive behaviour, and help the students to progress both academically and socially.If you feel you have the correct skillset then please then please apply now!All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
