Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated Assistant Supply Chain Manager in the north.Assistant Supply Chain ManagerYou will work with our Supply Chain Manager and our teams across pre-construction, delivery and aftercare to assist in the development and management of our supply chain partners, ensuring they meet our current and future business needs.You will be commercially astute with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, you must be passionate to drive value and quality of product. You will have worked in a similar role, but not necessarily within the construction industry.If you have strong negotiation and influencing skills, an operational drive and the ability to adapt to change you will enjoy the following responsibilities;

  • Supporting the SC Manager to ensure we have a supply chain that can meet the demands and needs of our business.
  • Building relationships with our partners to understand capability and capacity.
  • Analysing cost of error and proposing changes in relation to supply chain.
  • Driving consistency in approach across our supply chain partners to ensure high standards are understood and met on every project.
  • Supporting the SC Manager with delivering regular key business updates to our supply chain.
  • Managing performance feedback from our teams in relation to our supply chain and using this to influence decision making.
Essential and Desirable CriteriaEssential
  • Minimum BTEC or Level 3 equivalent
  • Experience in a supply chain management / procurement role
  • Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation and policy in relation to public procurement
Desirable
  • Degree / CIPs
  • Construction supply chain experience
