Job Description

Assistant Management Accountant - Leeds - £26,000 to £31,000 - Hybrid - plus full study support and a development plan.Axon Moore are delighted to be working in collaboration with a high growth professional services company to recruit an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join the team.The role is an outstanding opportunity for a career driven Assistant Accountant as it offers full study support and a development plan to move into a commercially focused Management Accounts role within the finance team.The business is renowned for having a track record of developing talent within their finance team.   • Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Support business partnering across the business
  • Working with commercial and operational teams to understand financial activity
  • Support budgeting and financial reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting of key variances to management, working closely with commercial and operational teams.
  • Assist with Analysis of P&L variances
  • Assistance with annual external audit
  • Other ad-hoc duties and cover for team members as required
The successful candidate will:
  • Be studying towards a qualification – ACA, CIMA or ACCA or be AAT Qualified and looking to take the next steps
  • Commercially astute
  • Driven to improve processes and improved ways of working
  • Driven and motivated
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills – able to build relationships and work collaboratively
