Job Description

We are currently supporting an East Leeds based group of companies in their search for an Assistant Accountant.The ideal candidate will be either studying for the AAT, or early an stages ACCA / CIMA studier with good excel skills and a foundation of month end experience.Main duties of the role:

  • Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts for companies within the group as required by the FD.
  • A hands-on role that will require some inputting of both Sales ledger and Purchase ledger invoices as well as allocations of receipts and payments.
  • Preparation of the payroll as and when required.
  • VAT Return and HMRC reconciliations and payments.
  • Clear control of all monthly expenses, knowing what should be there and therefore be able to see what is missing and accrue and prepay accordingly.
