Asbestos Compliance Manager RoleOutlineResponsible to the Head of Compliance and working as part of the SHEQ team, the role involves implementation of the Safety Policy, IMS policy and Safe Working Procedures.A key part of the role involves carrying out site audits in accordance with the current audit system in order to drive standards and produce performance data.Duties and responsibilitiesTo produce comparative performance data for all supervisors along with operatives in order to implement training needs analysis to allow suitable training to be carried out.To carry out in house refresher training for supervisors and operatives and any other safety related presentation as required by the safety director / safety team.To carry out site assessments with contract managers in order for them to produce safe plans of work and assist them in producing the plans of work and / or preconstruction phase plans and safety files.To periodically peer review plans of works prior to notification and provide advice to contract managers to help drive improvements.To oversee personal monitoring data input for quality and to assess trends.Create risk assessments in order to assist the Contract / Project Managers producing suitable and sufficient method statements.To ensure that all plant and equipment and R.P.E. utilised by the company in demolition and removal of asbestos containing materials are correctly serviced and the necessary recording procedures carried out.To aid contract managers in submitting ASB5 documentation.To attend safety meetings and workforce liaison meetings as requiredResponsible for maintaining up to date legal documents pertaining to the department and to revise and maintain the safe working procedures document.About the candidateExperience with leading H&S initiatives across demolition and asbestos projectsMust be literate in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and the use of android / IOS based IT equipment.Must be able to write reports and create meeting minutes.Must be able to drive as the job requires travel.Job details and benefitsWorking hours 8 till 5 over a 40 hour weekCompetitive salary and packageHoliday, pension and SSPSuccessful candidate will be provided with a car and appropriate IT equipment (laptop, phone, etc)Market leading company with a full order book working across various sectors with a broad client base
