Job Description

Applications Analyst, Application Support, Service Desk, Desktop, Deskside, IT SupportEngagement is via umbrella company only - the rate quoted is the maximum payable to an umbrella company.Our client, an established and well-known business based in Leeds, is looking to hire an Applications Support Analyst to provide support for various business applicationsCandidates with either an Application Support, Services Desk or 2nd Line Windows Support experience will be considered, ideally with some experience of, or a particular interest in, applications support providing 1st / 2nd line support.Key Accountabilities include:-

  • Assist with the rollout of new applications, providing documentation where required
  • Provide day to day support for business applications, working closely within a team
  • Picking up and dealing with assigned Service Desk incident and task tickets through the ServiceNow based service management system
  • Contacting the customer and confirming key details
  • Walking through resolutions with the customer around common tasks and issues, using available documented guidance
  • Over time, learning about other applications supported by the team, conducting troubleshooting, and providing user support as required
  • Plan and implement upgrades to applications
  • Obtain upgrade information from suppliers and compare with current setup
  • Liaise with SMEs and arrange any testing
  • Update users on upgrade plans
  • Implement and gather feedback
  • Licence Management for apps
  • Assist with the reporting on licence usage across the estate to provide valuable information when renewals are due or additional licences are requested
