Job Description

Accounting AnalystSalary:Up to £30,000Location:LeedsHours:Monday to Friday 8:30am17:00pmTru Talent are excited to be working with an ever growing company who run all over the world. They are looking for an experienced Accounting Analyst to join a growing team and become part of an exciting new project with a go live date of November 2022.Our client deliver mission-critical services and solutions on behalf of Fortune 100 companies and over 500 governmentscreating exceptional outcomes for their clients and the millions of people who count on them.As the Accounting Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Builds partnership and maintains strong relationship with organisational leaders to drive growth and enable the achievement of the organisations strategic financial goals both short and long-term.
  • Ensures fiduciary responsibility across the programme by establishing and enabling proper and effective organizational processes, procedures, controls, and records for of all aspects of financial transactions, events, and situations.
  • Records the programmes financial records, daily ledger entries, and other financial transactions.
  • Performs operational activities to assist with accurate and timely close of the books on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis as well as recording, tracking, and depreciation of fixed assets.
  • Prepares balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Compiles and provides large amount of data to support project accounting analysis and reporting.
  • Collects financial information for various financial reports and audit requirements.
  • Work with management and client to review and resolve open issues; includes reporting, working with development team, resolving and sending a closure package.
  • Update and track operating indicators and financial metrics to achieve project success driven by Key Performance Indicators.
As the Accounting Analyst the following will be required:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
  • A valid qualification from one of the following: Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA); or Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA).
  • Strong leadership skills to lead / mentor an accounting operations team.
  • Proven experience supporting VP-level and C-suite business partners.
  • 5+ years of relevant FP&A and/or Accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP.
  • Experience with financial systems is a plus.
