The children and governors of our lovely, inclusive school are looking for an excellent teaching assistant who is caring, enthusiastic and dedicated. Based in our Reception class, you will primarily support a child with SEN who will be new to our school and requires additional support to access the learning.The role is 32.5 hours a week Monday to Friday 8:30 – 3:30 (term time) School: Kirkstall Valley Primary School, LeedsStart Date: September 2020Salary: A1 to B1 (salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications)Contract: Linked to funding. 32.5 hours/week Applications close: Monday 25th May 2020Interviews: Week commencing 1st June TBCWe are looking for a teaching assistant who:- is suitably qualified (Level 2 qualification or above, or be willing to work towards this);- can form good relationships with children, parents and staff;- demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning; - see each child as an individual and understands how children learn;- have good interpersonal and communication skills;- are able to make observations of children learning and plan suitable next steps for them;- can work effectively as part of a team within a classroom and throughout the school;- be flexible and hard-working.
