The team is based in the East of Surrey at the Fairmount office with agile working and access to Surrey wide offices.This would be the ideal role for someone thinking about getting into Occupational Therapy. You will receive training and support as well as regular professional supervision to ensure your transition into the team.About the roleThis is a frontline, preventative role, you will have frequent direct contact with the public on the phone as well as visiting them in their own home or care setting. Your role will be to assist qualified Occupational Therapists with a variety of tasks,including assessing peoples needs and carrying out regular reviews.Youll be the first point of contact, gathering initial information and identifying the need for further assessment, as well as signposting people to other services. From this point you may assist with assessing for and recommending basic daily living equipmentto improve or maintain clients function, demonstrating the safe use of this equipment and manual handling to individuals and carers.You will provide support with skills development in relation to clients activities of daily living, using a strength-based approach and work collaboratively with clients on personalised goals, to maximise their function and independence.In your application, we would love to hear about your;
