Job Description

This role has a starting salary of £36,282 per annum, working 36 hours a week. We are looking for an experienced Digital Information Officer to join our Adult Social Care Information and Engagement Team. The post holder will support the delivery of the Surrey, system wide Information and Advice Strategy about careand support, ensuring residents can access universal information and find local support.About the RoleIn this role you will predominantly manage, co-ordinate, support and promote the provision of digital information including social media channels. Social media channels include; Facebook and Twitter pages to promote information on social care and health.Analytics are completed on a monthly basis to highlight key trends and what is working well. I use Hootsuite to schedule in posts and to keep track of tweets/posts.You will also currently manage a service directory website (Surrey Information Point) which holds services and information on Social Care for the residents of Surrey. This includes having a maintenance plan to keep everything up to date and an improvementplan for changes that can enhance the website whether that be a new skin to the website or changes such as online chat bots.Customer relations are also key in working with our internal staff of social workers (around 4000) and maintain key relations with home-based care providers (around 700) this includes responding to queries they may have or ideas as to how things may workbetter within a set time frame. We also receive queries from members of the public that are vulnerable and may not know what they are looking for so through my knowledge of health and social care I can direct them on as quickly as possible.Manages three Digital Assistants currently and we have a year planned out of activities as to what needs to be completed as maintenance of the site and improvements, we can make along the way based on analytics and user testing.About YouIn your application we would love to hear about your;

  • Experience in website publishing and management using web analytics tools and data, user testing and website accessibility compliance.
  • Experience Developing and delivering training to staff, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Your high levels of accuracy in data inputting, strong writing skills and use of grammar and a thorough understanding of new technologies and social media.
  • Experience of line management responsibilities as you will manage a team of up to three Digital Assistants.
