Job Description

Alexander Daniels are working in partnership with a large organisation in Warwick who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team.This role is to support the Senior Accountant in the production and delivery of financial reporting including monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly reconciliation and statutory audit deliverables.To support the Finance Business Partners as required in the budget and forecasting process for the relevant trading groupIn addition, situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks as may be reasonably requested by the company.What youll be doingThe post holder shall:

  • Ensure accurate and timely management accounts are produced and circulated for the relevant division(s), with explanations of key variances and interpretation of financial trends.
  • Be responsible for producing and maintaining effective and accurate policy, procedure and control documentation and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed in accordance with these agreed control documents.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, complete period-end control returns and ensure processes are robust and that any discrepancies are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Lead in the preparation and reconciliation of the quarterly stock reconciliations of all trading stores.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner as required in the budget, forecasting and 3-year planning process
  • Support the preparation and submission of statutory year end and half year audit documentation.
  • Assist the Senior Accountant and the wider Finance team in the effective reporting to the Board, Executive, Leadership Team and external bodies as necessary
    • About YouPart qualified accountant (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)Excellent command of written and spoken EnglishExcellent IT skills including MS ExcelMinimum 2 years experience in a management accounts role. Required skills
