Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced HR candidate to join a relatively new business which has seen rapid growth since its start 9 years ago. Now with 77 employees the company is busier than ever and prides itself on its family run ethos.The company in question is looking for a HR Manager to join the team on a 10 to 12-month contract (2530 hours per week over 4 or 5 days). Maximum salary for this role will be £33,850 pro rata.Previous experience within a HR role is essential. This role may suit a confident HR Advisor / Coordinator looking for the next step up. A CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential. You must have a professional approach as wellas an enthusiastic personality. In return we offer a friendly environment, regular appraisals and a staff discount. In addition to this you will be entitled to 28 days holiday per annum (pro-rata for part-time hours) and Company Health insurance/EAPJob Purpose: The HR Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting existing Managers and Supervisors with HR queries and issues
  • Managing end to end recruitment and selection process
  • General HR administrations tasks such as managing new starters and leavers
  • Managing internal promotion and progression / development
  • Organizing and recording staff training
  • Attendance management and maintaining sickness absence records including Bradford factor scores
  • Recording and authorizing all Annual Leave using our online system, setting limits depending on workload / staffing levels
  • Carrying out grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • Maintaining and organizing staff 1-2-1 and appraisal system
  • Organizing staff social events and rewards / gifts
  • Maintaining all Health and Safety records, policies and training
  • Maintaining and updating company handbook, policies and procedures to reflect legislation changes
  • Attending monthly management meetings and taking minutes
  • Processing company pension scheme and payments using NEST
Experience:
  • At least two years experience within a HR role
  • CIPD qualification would be advantageous

  • Self-motivated, with a highly organized approach to workable to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A team player, who is willing to help out in other areas of the business when needed
