Developer in Test / Automation Engineer / SDET - 50% RemoteLocation: Leamington SpaSalary: up to £45k + BenefitsIf you’re told what to test, how to test and when to test… and like that way of working, this job is not for you! … If that’s the exact opposite of what you’re looking for, and you’re sick of being micromanaged and constantly told how to do your job, then you might be reading about your new home…It’s taken 5 years but they’ve built something unique, a platform that has united the games industry and now they are looking to apply the same tech to break new ground and work in other industries. The team is being built from the ground up by a manager we’ve known for a long time who has a string of successes behind him. For the past 5 years IT has been outsourced to consultancies but it’s finally been brought in-house so you’d be entering a team at its ground level! As for the role Well, d’you remember that success I was talking about That’s led to some pretty substantial growth, and they need someone like you on board to crank their world domination plans up to 11.With me so far They have a manual tester but that’s it, so we’re looking for an experienced Automaton Tester who has established frameworks from scratch and would be able to come in and do the same, preferably in C#, Selenium and Specflow. Besides this there’s not exactly a long list of requirements… communication skills as much of the business is non-technical and a mindset of someone who can suggest ideas and direction, not waiting for instructions; is all that’s needed. For you to be a big contributor, you know from reading this far that you’ll need to have your own opinions - and opinions come from experience. You’ll be working with a blank canvass so this is role is critically important as it’ll have the mark of the person that takes the mantle. What they don’t want is a bog-standard auto tester who’ll need to be fed tasks or have their hand held…A perk of the job is that you will have a set workspace in the office (no hot-desking) and that you will only be expected to be in the office either 2-3 days a week (post-covid) - in 2 working weeks you will only be expected in for 5 days…There’s plenty more to talk about; the company, the role etc but if you like gist so far, shoot across your CV and I’d be happy to run through things and answer all your questions.
