We currently have a Recovery and Treatment Assistant Manager position available for a motivated individual to join our team based at St Austell/Launceston. Joining us on a full time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £37,000 per annumplus benefits.South West Water is part of the Pennon Group, a very successful and stable business which prides itself on sustainability. In return, we offer an excellent range of benefits which include free car parking at the majority of our sites, company Sharesave Scheme, childcare support, and various health benefits.As our Recovery and Treatment Assistant Manager, you will support the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager and the wider WWS Management team to ensure compliance and performance of the Treatment and Pump Station assets in relation to outcome targets and environmental protection commitments. You will take ownership and manage packages of work to ensure consistent and measurable progress and outputs, whilst identifying improvements and supporting delivery from scope to completion.Responsibilities as our Recovery and Treatment Assistant Manager will include: - Actively engaging with the team delivering their daily work activities and supporting the delivery of agreed targets and outcomes- Supporting the management of the operation of the Treatment Works and Pumping Stations and associated assets to achieve the required performance to achieve Company targets- Supporting the management of team performance in accordance with the agreed performance management framework including productivity, service quality and overtime, behaviour and discipline including driving- Engaging and communicating with Stakeholders, Customers and Business Partners to ensure proactive and clear communication is maintained- Ensuring work is carried out in a satisfactory and timely manner and conducting regular audits of work quality- Supporting the Area Operations team through compliance with budget for operation and maintenance activities- Collaborating with the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager and the Area Health and Safety Representatives to review Site Risk Assessments and/or safe systems of work- Supporting the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager in the promotion of capital bids for asset improvement and repairs- Working with the Area Managers and Catchment Pilot and Maintenance Manager to pre-empt events or failures and support effective planning- Deputising for Area Managers and the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager during absence/training or other duties- Participating on the Area standby and weekend working rotationWhat we are looking for in our ideal Recovery and Treatment Assistant Manager:- Preferably educated to A-Level standard, minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English and a science subject- HNC in related discipline (desirable)- WAMITAB certification (or ability to achieve)- Experience of working in either a customer service or commercial delivery team- Good oral and written communication skills- Excellent organisation skills- Ability to participate in standby and weekend working rotation- Ability to travel around the work area using company vehicle- Full UK Drivers LicenceClosing date: 2nd February 2021If you are looking for a new challenge, please click apply now to be considered as our Recovery and Treatment Assistant Manager – we look forward to receiving your application.
