Job Description

Are you an organised and proactive individual looking for your next career moveWe currently have an opportunity available for anFSC Technical Assistant to join our team working in Launceston. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of£18,947 per annum plus excellent benefits.About the role:As ourFSC Technical Assistant, youprovide support to the Operational Management within Waste Water Services in the general day-to-day running of all activities within the Field Support Centres that delivers the Waste Water Service withinthe field.What youll be doing as ourFSC Technical Assistant:

  • Monitoring the WWS FSC Inbox and processing telephone contacts as required
  • Interacting with the Central Customer Despatch and Process Control teams to ensure effective remote communications
  • Processing DG7 contacts from the Service Compliance team, collating comments from relevant staff to provide feedback in accordance with agreed SLAs and escalating issues to the local management team as necessary
  • Administering the production of effective schedules through liaison with the local management and operator teams. This will include jeopardy management of the intraday workbasket
  • Liaising with the local management and operator teams in addition to the central teams to support the effective planning and scheduling of cyclical and responsive complex work, includes the organisation of specialist plant and equipment through local suppliersand associated ordering processes
  • Managing the interface with CRIMSON for the WWS operational management team, ensuring reports are flagged to appropriate managers for action and that the system is effectively updated and maintained
  • Completing data entry for work programming, reporting and performance management using company software
  • Supporting the team in consistently reaching the required Service Level Agreements
What we are looking for in our FSC Technical Assistant:
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Mathematics, English and a Science subject (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience of working in a busy environment to deliver business requirements
  • Proven track record of working to deadlines to deliver business requirements
  • Previous experience working on own initiative to deliver business requirements
  • Previous experience of working as part of a team to deliver business requirements
  • Good organisational skills, self motivation and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a customer-centric telephone communication style
  • Good geographical knowledge of the designated work area and understanding of approximate travel times
