Job Description

Warehouse Team Leader, Cumbernauld, £28,000We are recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to work at our clients business in Westfield Industrial Estate, Cumbernauld.Aside from working for a market leading business, there are a whole host of benefits to take advantage of if you join them. What to expect as a Warehouse Team Leader:
  • Working a Monday to Friday day shift - 7am till 4pm with a later start of 7.30am on a Friday
  • Communication through emails / teams to ensure requirements set by management team and customer services department are understood and followed to plan
  • Co-ordinating daily / weekly workloads and schedules to ensure orders are prepared and despatched on time
  • Hold morning meetings with team of up to 16 warehouse operators to communicate daily workload, targets and objectives
  • Allocate tasks, duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by team members
  • Ensure team members rotated to provide regular training / upskilling and diversity within the department
  • Oversee smooth running of department throughout the day ensuring team members are achieving maximum efficiencies in line with business standards
  • Monitor staff performance including productivity, attendance and timekeeping
  • Identify training needs or any areas of concern and address
  • Ensuring company health and safety guidance is being followed by all staff - implement or escalate dependant on required action
  • Be approachable, hands on and lead the team by example
  • Ensure all team members are following Health & Safety processes and procedures to business standards
  • Ensure all team members are following warehouse procedures and processes as per business standards
  • Optimise the warehouse capacity and space through regular and efficient housekeeping of all stock
What were looking for:
  • At least five year experience team leader or supervisory experience within a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment
  • Knowledge and experience of warehouse management systems
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • A solid motivator and leader of people
