Job Description

Credit Controller - GlasgowFull time - Monday-Friday 8-5 (flexible with start and finish times) Fully office basedI am currently recruiting for my FMCG client in North Lanarkshire a senior credit controller due to growth within the business.The role will entail:

  • Handling all national accounts and being the one point of contact for said clients to communicate, dispute and finalise accounts with. You will be expected to hold regular teams calls with clients and occasionally go out on site visits to meet with themin person.
  • General credit control duties will be expected - chasing debt by call, letter, email, and other methods. You will also be expected to assist with any queries and disputes from clients, ad-hoc duties as and when required by the business which may includescanning invoices, documenting account notes and ensuring efficient and effective communication with targeted clients.
  • The credit control department not only handle the chasing of debts and queries, but they will be expected to take the client from the purchase of the products, through to chasing debts past their due dates, right through to high court enforcement and civilclaims court.
  • In addition to this, you will manage internal and external stakeholders.
Who am I looking for
  • I am looking for a confident individual who has experience with being on the phones (this can be from credit control or otherwise), someone who is knowledgeable around credit control processes and regulations. You will have experience in handling complicated/complexsituations with both internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to diffuse anything which may arise.
  • You must have excellent communication skills, both written & verbal as you will be the main point of contact for differing clients, on the phone, over teams and through written communication. With this you will be expected to notarise each and every aspectto ensure understanding with the wider network.
