Job Description

Quality Control InspectorOur client are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join their team in Glasgow.Our client specialise within high quality printing of labels for the spirit bottling industry and have major growth plans for 2024. An exciting time and opportunity to join their team.Salary - £27,000 per annumContract - Permanent, Full-TimeHours - Treble shift - 1 week early, 1 week backshift, 1 week nightshiftRoles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometres and calipers to take accurate measurements.
  • Collect and analyse data to identify trends or issues in product quality.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or non-conformities.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for quality control processes.
  • Online label inspection for all PSL and Litho machines
  • Following standard operating procedures for testing of labels
  • Assisting within the department to ensure quality standards are maintained and developed to meet ongoing demands from customers.
  • Working with functional departments / personnel to maintain and improve quality and assist in identifying improvements.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar role (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures
