Job Description

Mobile Facilities Technician – Competitive – South LanarkshireThe RoleSPIE UK, a smart engineering and technology-driven solutions provider for the built environment, are looking for a Mobile Facilities Technician to undertake work allocated by the Operations Supervisor / Facilities Manager within set timescales to a high quality, covering high schools in the South Lanarkshire area.The successful candidate will also ensure facility is compliant and fully operational, aiming to provide a proactive and efficient service to internal and external customers.The key responsibilities of a Mobile Facilities Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting non-specialist repairs.
  • Ensuring subcontractors carry out tasks as per accepted RAMS.
  • Ensuring subcontractors remove all generated waste from site and leave work area clean and tidy.
  • Open and close school in accordance with required school occupancy times.
  • Carry out brickwork/blockwork repointing
  • Carry out tiling/plastering repairs
  • Participate in the on-call rota
  • The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a Mobile Facilities Technician:
  • Capable of working with minimum supervision
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work within the office or based on sites as required
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to understand and react to financial penalties
  • IT literate
  • Must have a clean driving licence
