Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with an engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture & installation of product handling systems. Operating from its base in the UK, Parkburn supports the worldwide onshore and offshore markets.Our clients in-house design engineering capability includes all required mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and software disciplines. The latest Inventor 3D design and modelling facilities are used, within their DNV-GL accredited quality, environmental andhealth and safety system, to ensure all client requirements are fully satisfied.The business is proud both to supply and fully support a wide range of technically advanced, high performance, systems and equipment to the worlds leading constructors, installers and operators.They are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Fitter who will be predominantly factory based in a clean environment at our Hamilton location.The employee must be willing to work at any other of our premises and also the premises of customer installations.Skills and Experience

  • Extensive previous experience and ability to read electrical schematics
  • ONC Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree
  • High standard of basic engineering skills: drilling, tapping, grinding and cutting
  • Ability to use power tools and hand tools
  • Accurate measurement for component layout
  • Ability to fully understand electrical schematics and electrical wiring diagrams
  • Ability to wire panels from electrical drawings provided
  • Have working knowledge of equipment such as test meters, crimping tools and workshop equipment commonly used in the manufacture of control panels
  • Be familiar with standard components normally used in control panel manufacture
  • Full Driving License and valid passport
Standard hours of work are 8-16:45 Monday to Thursday and 8-12:00 on Friday. Overtime may be required at short notice and work abroad is an occasional requirement which the employee must be willing to undertake.This is a unique opportunity for an Electrical Fitter to join and progress their career within an innovative high-growth company.
