The Role: DevOps EngineerContract: 10 Months MinimumLocation: Remote/ Dunton Technical CentrePay: £34.48per hourAn amazing long-term contracting role with Ford Motor group for an experienced DevOps engineer.Position Description:Infrastructure / Support Analyst: DevOps engineer diagnosing issues, monitoring and support of development team.Skills Required:- Java application hosting and web-based technologies (e.g. JBOSS/Apache) UNIX/ LINUX server environment.- Practical knowledge of SQL and Oracle technologies.- An understanding of bash scripting- An understanding of working with and configuring CI tools (e.g. Jenkins)- An understanding of XML and related technologies (e.g. Unicode) Java SDK’s, JSON & XML interaction, JavaScript, HTML, PHPSkills Preferred:- An Understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics- Code development in Java based technologies & JCOE Frameworks- Knowledge of Ford’s Java build environment (Jenkins, GIT, Gradle, Nexus)Experience Required:- 2+ years of relevant IT experience.- Experience of working in a challenging production support environment.- Experience in infrastructure architecture, data centres, server’s configuration, installation, troubleshooting etc.Experience Preferred:- Experience with continuous delivery and agile approach.
