Job Description

Landscaping EstimatorKnaresborough area£40-50kpaExcellent opportunity to join a growing business in the Knaresborough area undertaking to price and estimating for a range of hard and soft landscaping and maintenance projects across the UK. You will be commercially aware, come from a similar background,and be fully conversant with producing detailed tenders, bids, and quotations.As the Landscaping Estimator you will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive quotations and quality bids from drawings to bill of quantities
  • Ensuring all bids are priced realistically, competitively, and submitted on time
  • Preparing priced submissions and supporting the production of forecasts, budget information, and handover packs.
  • Actively chasing work tendered for to secure business
  • Building relationships with prospective and existing customers to identify and secure further business opportunities
  • Ensuring all contract handover information is completed accurately and passed to the relevant department on time.
  • Post tender negotiation/analysis in preparation for entering new contracts
  • Analysis and pricing of scheme work within existing frameworks
  • Checking of measures against bills, drawings, specifications to ensure adherence and to identify risks and/or opportunities
As the Landscaping Estimator you will:
  • Have excellent commercial and contract awareness
  • Be fully conversant with Health, Safety, and environmental awareness.
  • JCT, ICE, NEC awareness are preferred.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence.
  • Have experience in the Soft Landscaping, Grounds Maintenance, Vegetation Management, Fencing industry
  • Have knowledge and understanding of effective customer care.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have good communication and computer skills particularly Word, Excel.
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines
