Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join a global environment improvement product company.Hybrid home / office role.Maternity Cover 12 month contract.The companyoperates a number of strong retail brands into the DIY / Garden Centre retail industry.The company operates from 17 sites in the UK, Europe and North America and is growing.The Key Account Manager will achieve monthly sales targets by maintaining relationships with The Key Accounts and assist in growing the accounts.

  • Account Management
  • Maintain regular contact with customers on buying platform.
  • Provide flexible and efficient account management.
  • Ensure customers remain adequately stocked with Pelsis group range, introducing new products where possible.
  • Provide up to date product information, including product changes.
  • Develop understanding of each customer, the market they sell into and the way they promote the products.
  • Ensure Pelsis is the sole supplier by selling the features, advantages and benefits of our products.
  • Develop understanding and keep up to date with competitors products
  • New Business Development
  • Constantly contact and convert new business adding to the customer base.
  • Administration
  • Produce monthly report demonstrating previous months results and predicted sales for following month.
  • Produce accurate trip reports and submit to Sales Manager before departure and update CRM.
  • Generate and distribute monthly OTIF Report for Key Accounts
  • Generate and distribute monthly stock update reports where applicable
  • Produce weekly back order report for Accounts and work with CST to follow up on despatch of orders in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all expenses, submit expenses forms to Sales Manager
  • Responsible for resolving any issues relating to payment working with Credit Control dept
  • Input any customer complaints onto complaint system and forward to customer service team to follow up
Key Account Manager requirements:
  • Good level of education and qualifications required
  • Product sales experience an advantage
  • Good level of problem-solving skills desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as the ability to negotiate on all levels
  • Good level of communication, conversational and persuasive skills required
  • Self-motivation and a sense of urgency are critical
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently when required, and strong time management skills
