Job Description

Our client is an established construction business with offices throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for a HSQE Manager to join their management team. This is a regional role supporting multiple sites throughout the Northern / Midlands region.HSQE Manager - Purpose of RoleTo ensure that through an accredited integrated management system that our client complies with its Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental legal obligations and that its products and services meet the requirements of the business and its customers.HSQE Manager - Key Accountabilities

  • Production and audit of key Quality, Safety and Compliance documentation.
  • Site audits, reports and production of remedial actions.
  • Accident & Incident Investigation and arising advice & remedial actions.
  • Key advice / input around all Safety, Environmental & Quality matters arising from our client’s operations.
  • Creation / review of Risk Assessment and risk mitigation process across the client’s company.
  • Participation in the production and review of Tender documentation.
  • Assist with the production & audit of Company HSQE documentation and systems in line with ISO / other requirements.
  • Attendance at Stakeholder meetings representing the company in all matters HSQE.
  • Completion of HSQE reporting for internal and external customers.
  • Reviewing compliance throughout the company’s operations.
  • Creation & delivery of TBTs, safety stand downs and educational.
    • HSQE Manager - Qualities & Experience
  • Experience in a similar role within the Highways or Rail sectors.
  • Ideally possess Tech IOSH qualification.
  • Will be a very strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Will represent the company professionally and confidently.
  • Must be able to promote and share Best Practice internally and with the broader stakeholder community.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills, be a team player and have good communication and computer skills.
  • NEBOSH construction cert would be highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of National Highways Sector Schemes 2a,c & 18 would be highly desirable.
  • Auditing experience / qualifications would be highly desirable.
    • HSQE Manager is offering £35,000 - £40,000 basic salary plus car, mobile and attractive benefits. This is a full-time permanent position, Monday - Friday with flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends and to work between multiple sites across the agreed geographical location.All successful candidates will be contacted within 5 days of application.
