You will be part of the Administrative & Clerical Team within the Older People Mental Health Team, working directly with the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team to support the service. You will be required to provide an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service to all members of the team including medical staff. It is essential that you are a proficient typist with excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of personalities. As the first point of contact for the multi-disciplinary team, this is an important role which requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, understanding your area of responsibility. Workload is generated by the clinical caseload and professional roles of the Multi-disciplinary team/multi-agency team. You will deal with telephone and face to face enquiries from all staff groups, patients, relatives, carers, providing information, directing and prioritising queries as appropriate to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. It is essential that you have an O Grade English or equivalent experience and that you are proficient in use of Microsoft Office Software including Microsoft Outlook. You should have experience of working as a secretary or administrative background which includes audio typing and that you have keyboard skills with a high degree of speed and accuracy. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm. This is a Fixed term post for 6 months.
