We have an exciting development opportunity for a fixed term (15 months) Band 6 Occupational Therapist within our Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Kirkintilloch.You will become part of a small Occupational Therapy team within the CMHT, providing a core occupational therapy service including specialist assessment and treatment. In addition team tasks will involve desk duty and participation in the Specialist Shared Assessment. Duties also include supporting the allocation of referrals to Occupational Therapy, ensuring any waits are minimised through effective caseload management, supervision of a junior staff member and accepting students for Practice Education placement.It is essential you have Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Therapy with significant post graduate experience and current HCPC registration. You should also have previous experience of working in a Mental Health setting with the ability to demonstrate a sound application of the core skills of the profession and their application within a mental health setting. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.Regular clinical and professional supervision will be provided, CPD is supported profession specific training opportunities are provided within Mental Health Occupational Therapy in NHSGG&C.The shift pattern is ; 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
