The North East Area Psychology Department provides psychological services to the adult mental health service network within Glasgow’s North East Sector, and a significant part of East Dunbartonshire. Services are provided in the context of multidisciplinary community teams, across four CMHTs and two Primary Care Mental Health Teams.You will provide a qualified specialist clinical psychology service to clients of the service team, across all sectors of care; providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.You will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.It is essential you have a Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
