Our quarries produce aggregates for a variety of uses in the construction industry.Position: Assistant Quarry ManagerLocation: Orrock Quarry, near Kirkcaldy, FifeContract Type: PermanentHours: Full TimeSalary: CompetitiveWe offer competitive terms and benefits associated with being an employer of choice including pension and share save option.About the Role:We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Quarry Manager based at Orrock Quarry in the Fife and Tayside Region.As part of the Operations Team the Assistant Quarry Manager will support the Quarry Manager who is responsible for the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry, covering the aggregate, asphalt & ready-mix concrete production. The Assistant Quarry Manager will supervise all the day to day operations and have a “hands on” role to ensure the timeliest and cost-effective production of all materials produced on site.Responsibilities (including but not limited to):• Responsible for any statutory procedures and reporting, in line with the license to operate the quarry• Responsible for the monitoring of the condition of plant and its performance whilst ensuring the effective use of maintenance services to ensure its ongoing capability therefore, working with preventative maintenance schedules• To ensure focus on production i.e., targets and quality to achieve the agreed customer requirements and specificationAbout You:Working as part of a team, you will have a flexible proactive approach to establish high standards of work performance, optimum product quality and promote quality control, safety programmes and regulatory compliance.This position may provide you with a new challenge together with genuine long-term stability and the opportunity for development as continuous training will be provided.The Group places the highest importance on sustained standards of excellence in all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental management and you will be expected to contribute to the Company’s zero harm culture.You may have experience of the following: Quarry Manager, Quarry Management, Heavy Plant, Quarry Operative, Quarry Process Operator, WAMITAB, IOSH, Health & Safety, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.Ref: 98395
