Job Description

Distribution Shift Manager - Hemsworth - Day Shift Monday to Friday Your local pub, your favourite restaurant, your childrens schools all have one thing in commonBrakes. Our customers count on us for exceptional food and service, and as our response to Covid-19 proved, our 6,000-strong workforce is dedicated and proud to play their part in feeding thenationOur Hemsworth depot are currently recruiting for a talented Distribution Shift Manager to join the team!The role includes:

  • Day to day management and planning of the distribution function, ensuring DC standards and targets are met.
  • Input into Distributions cost budgets
  • Staff recruitment / retentionrecruit, train and develop direct reports.
  • Staff training and development plans, establishing distribution succession planning.
  • Increase driver awareness to reduce accidents
  • Manage employee relations cases in line with Company policies and procedures such as investigations, disciplinaries and absence management
  • Form strong and effective working relationships with peers, colleagues, suppliers and customers at all levels
  • Input into and implementation of Distribution & Operational strategy in line with Distribution Centre goals
  • Management of Distribution assets
  • Stock integrity
  • Compliance with current Transport Legislation
Youll have:
  • 2 years supervisory experience within a high volume distribution operation
  • A full understanding of current commercial vehicle legislation.
  • First class analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience in implementing change and continuous improvement
  • Experience in people management such as managing employee relations cases
