Job Description

JOB TITLE: Tableau AnalystLOCATION: Kingston upon Thames (remotely based during lock down)PAY RATE: up to £430 per day (Umbrella)START DATE: ASAPDURATION: 3-4 monthsIR35 STATUS: InsidePURPOSE OF THE ROLE:Provide a flexible and responsive performance analysis service that enriches the understanding of service performance and quality across the department and childrens services partnership to support business efficiency and service improvement.Lead on the analysis of complex statistical and business data and information, to inform strategic and business planning and for the development of specific service strategies.Develop effective and efficient systems and methods for the timely collection, processing and dissemination of childrens services statistics in accordance with legislative requirements and relevant statistical Codes of Practice.Present research and statistical analysis information findings to internal and external stakeholders via a variety of formats, including written reports, presentations and digital media as appropriate, ensuring that the information is accessible and appropriate to the audience.Undertake routine reporting and specific analysis work commissioned by operational and senior managers to facilitate statutory reporting requirements and service delivery priorities.Design and deliver advice, guidance and training to internal colleagues andexternal partners regarding data, systems and other analytical and/or statistical approaches.CONTEXT:The Quality and Performance Division comprises an integrated set of strategic services which support and inform operational services in the department, better engage with our partners and service users and which contribute significantly to our continuous improvement ambitions.Strategic Analyst play a key role in developing a more intelligence led and evidence based approach to planning, performance management and quality assurance to support service improvement.They develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners at all levels to facilitate information sharing and service improvements.They provide intelligent information for the senior leadership team, council committees and partnership groups.EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject (such as maths, statistics, economics or sociology) and/or relevant professional qualification (Business Analysis/Statistician).Working knowledge of relevant statistical codes of practice and legislation (i.e. Data Protection and Freedom of Information etc).Detailed knowledge and understanding of performance information and intelligence and reporting requirements in which childrens services operate and knowledge of models of service delivery.Proven ability to interpret and analyse information and formulate and present reports and recommendations.High level of skill in the use of ICT/digital media and software applications that support statistical analysis/business intelligence.Enhanced DBS Clearance.Willingness and ability to travel around county and work outside norAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
