Our students travel from across the globe to reach their educational goals and we pride ourselves on proving an exceptional world-class student experience whilst they are studying with us. As a Student Progression and Welfare Coordinator, you will play a key part of this journey, supporting students with any progression or Welfare issues that they may have. Youll need expert people skills, lots of empathy, and a good ability with admin and systems as you work across both areas of this job.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational responsibility for the development and provision of high-quality student progression and welfare provision as a critical part of a holistic student experience including supporting the planning and delivery of a range of activities and processes to support effective student experience including (but not limited to) data management and reporting, progression management and performance enhancement, student support and communication of policies.
  • You will act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Kingston University London International Study Centre (KULISC), providing support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Providing front line wellbeing/welfare support in response to welfare/wellbeing issues that arise and supporting students in accessing other related services.
  • You will work with the academic staff to help students remove barriers to their learning and support the creation of study plans for students, including continuous follow up and follow through.
  • You will be part of a friendly and welcoming student experience team, responding to, and triaging general enquiries as needed.
  • The Student Progression and Welfare Coordinator works collaboratively with other members of the Student Experience Team, Academic Tutors and Centre management as part of the Student Experience Team to "prepare international students to progress and thrive at Kingston University through successful completion of their programme". You will be required to continually monitor student performance to ensure that timely support is provided with a view to enhancing each individuals opportunity for success. If a student is unlikely to progress to Kingston University, you will work with colleagues to help the student to explore alternative options in UKHE.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience working in a Welfare role supporting students.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, ideally with previous Safeguarding training/qualifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to work with different systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an empathetic and positive personality.
