Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Service Assistant plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service. If you enjoy helping people and providing a great service we would love to hear from you.You will be scheduled for 8-12 hours per week and must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays. The shifts will be 4-6 hours each day, and you will usually work 2-3 days per week. There will be no evening working or split shifts.Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 12th September 2021 What its like to work here This rare and atmospheric 17th-century house is one of the grandest Stuart houses in England and sits on the banks of the River Thames in Richmond. Ham House is internationally recognised for its superb collection of paintings, furniture and textiles, largely brought together 400 years ago. Outside, the open and formal restored 17th-century gardens surround the house. It includes a productive kitchen garden containing many heritage crops, the maze-like ‘Wilderness’, complete with summerhouses, and many beautiful spots perfect for a picnic. The orangery café offers freshly made food straight from the garden to your plate and the shop also sells a large selection of Ham-grown plants and other varieties.The close team is looking for an enthusiastic people with great interpersonal skills to join them for the summer season. What youll be doing Visitors are a vital part of what we do. As the Service Assistant it’s your role to ensure that the experience that our visitors receive across the site is perfect. In this role, you will;·Work alongside a big staff team and volunteers in delivering outstanding customer service across the property·Promote events, offers, products and benefits of actively supporting the National Trust·Till trained and able to cover lunch breaks or any absences where required·Completing daily general duties across site such as litter picking, emptying bins and cleaning touch points·Assisting with deliveries or directing vehicles at the front gate·Support the admissions, café and retail teams with queue management and support where necessary·Ready to answer visitor queries or give directions·Support in the delivery of events at times throughout the year·Support across the property/portfolio when required Who were looking for
