Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students facing unique educational challenges We are seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Tutors to join our team in Kingston and Richmond, delivering tailored 1:1 sessions to students whorequire additional support.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct face-to-face tutoring sessions with students across Kingston and Richmond.
  • Work with students who are out of school for various reasons, such as awaiting specialist school placement, experiencing placement breakdown in mainstream schools, or being too unwell to attend school.
  • Provide support to primary-level students, with the possibility of working with students up to Key Stage 3.
  • Develop and implement a creative and engaging curriculum designed to meet the needs of students who may be disengaged from traditional education.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a friendly and easygoing disposition to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience working in Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, but we also welcome applications from Senior Teaching Assistants (TAs) or support workers with a proven track record in delivering 1:1 tuition.
  • Ability to deliver effective and personalized learning experiences for students working at primary levels, regardless of their age.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
  • A passion for adapting teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each student.
