NHS Ayrshire & Arran - University Hospital CrosshouseSenior Clinical Development Fellow in Cardiology (1 post)Are you interested in developing a career in CardiologyWe are keen to recruit a full-time Senior Clinical Development Fellow to join our vibrant and innovative Cardiology team at the University Hospital Crosshouse.This post will provide invaluable practical experience but will also provide you with the potential to further develop your CV for those aiming to enter Cardiology Higher Specialty Training. In addition to managing Cardiology in-patients and out-patients, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills including diagnostic coronary angiography, transthoracic and 3D-transoesophageal echocardiography and brady-pacing. The successful candidate will not be expected to do night shifts or participate in the rolling rota for acute medical on-call; therefore you will have protected training time in Cardiology to undertake quality improvement work, educational activities, research activities and career development. The post includes access to a study leave budget.The successful applicant would be expected to have completed Core Medical Training and hold MRCP (UK) or equivalent. Experience in Cardiology at core level is essential and experience in echocardiography would be an advantage.This post will be offered for a 12 month period in the first instance with a view to extend. Salary: £32,961 - £51,828 pa plus rota supplement of up to 50% Placement on scale will be based on experience and where all essential criteria are met starting salary will be a minimum of £37,795.
