Job Description

Location: Kilmarnock, East AyrshireJob Type: Full-TimeSalary: £32,000 per annumPertemps Recruitmentis seeking an experienced Powered Access Fitter to join our team based in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. As a Powered Access Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of powered access equipment and plant machinery,including boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other aerial platforms. You will work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and ensure that all equipment is safe, fully operational, and compliant with relevant regulations.Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular inspections, diagnose faults, and perform repairs on powered access equipment and plant machinery
  • Test equipment to ensure that it is safe and fully functional
  • Keep detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance carried out
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and customers
  • Order parts and equipment as required
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
  • Be flexible and self-motivated, embracing new training opportunities as required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in maintaining a range of powered access equipment and plant machinery
  • A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Great communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
  • Effective planning and organization skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues
  • Flexible, with the ability to stay away from home on occasion
