Operations Chemist (4 On 4 Off) Girvan, Scotland £25,000 - £36,500 + Healthcare + Training + Progression + Pension + Holidays Are you a qualified Chemist with an interest in developing your career within the rapidly growing Renewable Energy industry In this role you will be working on a 4 On 4 Off basis alongside the analytical chemistry department of one of the worlds most specialised producers of biogas through the process of Anaerobic Digestion. This will involve things such as analysing the healthof digester units across the companys numerous sites, ensuring environmental compliance, maintaining biofertilizer quality certification and analysing feedstocks delivered to plant. The ideal candidate will have at least a 2:1 degree in a subject such as Chemistry, Biochemistry or Microbiology. They will also be comfortable with working on a shift basis and importantly will be keen to progress their career within a positive, vibrant businessthat prides themselves on the industry-leading work that they do. This is a great role for someone who loves a technically complex and varied job where they will carry a large amount of responsibility and autonomy within their field. The role: * Carrying out analysis of feedstocks, digester health, fertilisers etc. * Providing support for process development trials during commissioning phase of projects * Ensuring environmental compliance of the site and maintaining PAS 110 certification * Completing operational and analytical logs The person: * Minimum 2:1 degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar * Experience in Anaerobic Digestion or keen to apply their skills to the Renewable Energy sector * Living in the Girvan area or willing to relocate from within Scotland * Comfortable with working on a 4 On 4 Off shift basis throughout the year * Good communication skills and able to present data clearly * Strong IT skills (Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning systems e.g GDMS) * Full UK driving license
