Job Description

Internal Sales - Timber ProductsJob Title: Internal Sales - Timber ProductsIndustry Sector: Timber, Carcassing Timber, Pallet and Packaging Material Timber, Canadian Lumbar, Machined Whitewoods, Saw Milling, Decking, Fencing Timber, Housing Developers, Sub-Contractors, Merchants, MKM Building Supplies, Jewson, Sales, Internal Sales,Sales Admin, Customer ServiceLocated: Kilmarnock or surrounding areasRemuneration: £24,000 - £30,000Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits PackageThe role of the Internal Sales - Timber Products will involve:

  • Internal sales position, selling comprehensive range of carcassing timber, pallet and packaging material timber, Canadian lumbar, machined whitewoods, saw milling, block wood, kiln dried decking and fencing timber
  • Predominantly selling to housing developers, subcontractors and merchants such as MKM and Jewson’s
  • Building relationships and managing existing portfolio of clients
  • Carrying out sales admin duties
  • Dealing with inbound enquiries via email and telephone
  • A percentage of your time will be spent cold calling and approaching new business
  • Liaising with the production department to ensure all sales requirements are met
  • 100% office based role work 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
The ideal applicant will be an Internal Sales - Timber Products experience with:
  • Timber experience isn’t essential would consider other construction related products and outside of the construction industry
  • Sales experience highly advantageous in construction or other industries
  • The ability to work under pressure and to timescales when required
  • Confident on the phone, providing good customer service
  • Team player with a positive outlook
  • IT & PC literate and a competent MS Office user
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Results driven
